Who? – Both adults and well-behaved kids 10 and older are welcome.
How Much Does It Cost? -- $25 per big (100 g) skein.
Is It Messy? – No! Yarn is dyed in big plastic baggies. We also provide gloves and aprons.
About the yarn and dyes – Fingering weight superwash wool with nylon for beauty and durability. Jacquard professional acid dyes. Choose from six blend-able base color dyes.
Use as many dye colors as you want on your yarn!
How Does It Work? – After the dyes are applied, we set them by heating the yarn baggie for a few minutes in our microwave. You take your toasty warm baggie of gorgeous yarn home for the final rinsing & drying. The shop can wind your skein at a future visit.
Finishing Instructions – Each skein is tied with regular yarn ties and two nylon fishing line ties. Handle the skein by the nylon ties to help keep it from getting tangled. Rinse yarn in a sink of lukewarm water at least twice or until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze out excess water and blot in a towel. Hang skein by nylon ties to dry overnight or use a hairdryer to finish drying the skein.
